4 Days Tsavo West National Park & Amboseli National Park
Day 1: Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park which lies roughly halfway between Nairobi and the Mombasa Coast. The chief marvel here is the Mzima Springs, replenished with two hundred and twenty million litres of crystal clear water everyday, from the underground streams stemming from the lava massif known as Chyulu Hills. Mzima Springs is a favorite haunt of hippos and crocodiles. There are well-marked nature trails, an observation platform and an underwater glass tank, which provides a special vantage point to view this remarkable oasis. Arrive in time for lunch at a lodge located within the boundaries of the Park. An early evening game drive to see large herds of Elephants, Buffalo, Common Waterbuck, Eland, Gerenuk, Masai Giraffe, Black Rhino and Antelopes. Bird life is also in abundance at this park of great diversity in habitat and terrain. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, head for the bushy country of Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is a landscape dominated everywhere by the glistening, majestic snowcap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro – a fitting backdrop to the wild region. It is also the region where pastoral Masai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many a century. After lunch, experience an afternoon game drive at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain. Dinner and overnight is at one of the Amboseli Lodges, located in the
very heart of the Amboseli National Park.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Early morning game drive that is rewarded by magnificent views of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro with its snowcapped summit appearing pink in the rising sun. Amboseli is known for its abundance of elephants as well as hippopotamus, giraffe, lion and black rhino. The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most spectacular displays of wildlife, creating Kenya’s most sought after photographer’s paradise. After lunch, an extensive game drive is followed by dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Nairobi
After breakfast, depart for Nairobi.
