Kenya Wildlife Photographic Safari and Cultural Package (Nairobi – Aberdare National Park – Samburu National Reserve -Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary – Masai Mara National Reserve)

Day 1: November 3rd, 2023 – Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

On arrival, a Pal-Davis Adventures Kenya Representative will greet you and transfer you to Nairobi Sarova Stanley Hotel, where you are booked for a two-night on Bed & Breakfast meal plan.

Day 2: November 4th, 2023 – Full day excursion in Nairobi and “OUT OF AFRICA” excursions

9:00 am:- Depart from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Langata through the Southern bypass for a bird’s view of Nairobi’s Kibera slum, one of Sub Sahara’s largest slums.
10:15 am:- Visit Daphne Sheldrick’s “baby rhinos & Elephants’ Orphanage” for an encounter with the little ones. At around noon proceed to Utamaduni Craft Centre for lunch, followed by a visit to Giraffe Centre Sanctuary and feed the Giraffes.
3:30 pm:- Visit Karen Blixen Museum, the home, and setting of the movie “Out of Africa.” After, stop at Kazuri Beads Women-run factory.
6:00 pm:- Return to your hotel, ready to start your safari adventure the following day. Meal plan – Bed & Breakfast.

Day 3: November 5th, 2023 – Nairobi to Aberdare National Park “The Ark Limited” 175 km – 3 hours’ drive

8:00 am:- Depart by road to Aberdare Country Club, driving through lush coffee and tea plantations towards the Mt Kenya Region. Lunch will be at Aberdare Country Club, a base hotel and reception for The Ark Tree Lodge. After lunch, you transfer to your overnight tree lodge, The Ark. Enjoy the unique experience of unlimited game viewing from your balcony as wildlife troop to the flood-lit watering hole and salt lick. Dinner and overnight at The Ark Limited.

Day 4: November 6th, 2023 – Samburu National Reserve, 170 km 3.5 hours’ drive

After breakfast, transfer to the base hotel for an onward journey to Samburu National Reserve, a dramatic semi-arid scrubland of the Northern Frontier district north of the Equator. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for endemic wildlife species such as the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the blue-necked Somali Ostrich. All meals & accommodation at Samburu Simba Lodge.

Day 5: November 7th, 2023 – Full day in Samburu National Reserve

Further exploration of this fascinating reserve awaits you. Early morning and afternoon game drives offer a chance to travel over some of the world’s most spectacular and exciting terrain. All meals & accommodation at Samburu Simba Lodge.

Day 6: November 8th, 2023 – Samburu National Reserve to Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary (175 km 3.5 hours’ drive)

After a leisurely breakfast, start the journey by road to Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary, arriving in time for lunch in this secluded heart of Ol Pejeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. Here, these magnificent beasts are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns. The Jane Goodall Institute also operates a remarkable Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we meet the primates face to face. Our camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and where elephant, giraffe, and myriad plains game frequently visit. Africa, as experienced by Teddy Roosevelt years ago when he led one of the first safaris to Africa in comfort and splendor.
3 pm:- Embark on a game drive. Meals & accommodation at Serena Sweetwater’s Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 7: November 9th, 2023 – Sweetwater’s Game Sanctuary to Masai Mara National Reserve by Air (45 minutes)

An early breakfast is served before transferring to Nanyuki Airstrip for a 10.15 am flight to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival embark on a game enroute to Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp to arrive in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Mara is the northern extension of the famed Serengeti National Park. This is the Africa of your imagination, here; over 450 species of birds have been recorded. Though July, August, and September are the peak game viewing, when the great wildebeest, zebra and other game migrate, there is also resident
wildlife all year-round. The famous Maasai tribe lives within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 8 & 9: November 10th & 11th, 2023, full-day game drives to explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Awaken to the sights and sounds of the big game country and head out to absorb the enormity of the Mara. In this country of breathtaking vistas, view its vast assemblages of plains game together with their associated predators: Buffalo, Black Rhino, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Cheetah, Common Zebra, Coke’s Hartebeest, White bearded Gnu, Oribi, Warthog, and Thompson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. A chance for an early evening game drive to catch up on anything you missed. All meals and accommodation at Mara Sarova Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 10: November 12th, 2023. Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park (265 km 5 hrs. drive)

Depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park and arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. In the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive in search of the White Rhino, the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, and other wildlife. The contrast and apparent dislocation between the shallow soda lake with its primeval birds and the animated woods around it give the Park a distinctive appeal. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge overlooking the lake.
